Local sales tax revenues in Highland Lakes towns continue to rise.

The following data reflects reports submitted by the Texas Comptroller’s Office in April 2022, which represent sales activity for the previous two months.

MARBLE DROPS

In February 2022, Marble Falls brought in 33.44% more sales tax revenue than February 2021.

  • February 2021: $700,644.38
  • Cumulative sales tax revenue distributed by April 2022: $4,252,395.54, up 26.44% from last year

BURNET

In February 2022, Burnet reported 39.20% more in sales tax revenue compared to February 2021.

  • February 2021: $175,243.32
  • Cumulative sales tax revenue distributed by April 2022: $1,129,352.75, up 20.93% from last year

GRANITE BINS

In February 2022, Granite Shoals reported 17.60% more in sales tax revenue compared to February 2021.

  • February 2021: $29,284.88
  • Cumulative sales tax revenue distributed by April 2022: $151,212.93, up 14.81% from last year

HORSESHOE BAY

In February 2022, Horseshoe Bay reported 50.68% more sales tax revenue than February 2021.

  • Cumulative sales tax revenue distributed by April 2022: $598,245.36, up 33.58% from last year

COTTON BANKS

In February 2022, Cottonwood Shores reported 58.45% more in sales tax revenue compared to February 2021.
