Oildale residents met with senior county officials on Monday to champion those concerns at a county-led meeting to brief people on a Nov. 8 ballot measure that, if passed, would raise the tax sales in unincorporated parts of Kern County and to hear about their constituents’ needs. Monday’s rally was the first of several community gatherings planned in person and virtually in the run-up to the general election.
