On Sunday, Transport Minister Amarinder Singh Raja Warring paid a surprise visit to Shaheed Madan Lal Dhingra Inter State Bus Stand (ISBT), where 20 unauthorized private operator buses, including one from Orbit Aviation, were put into service. impound due to incomplete documents.
He said: “Tax evasion, the use of illegal buses and the bus mafia will not be tolerated. Each bus, which runs on state roads, will have to pay taxes. He said: “I am trying to increase the daily income of the department by Rs1 crore.”

The minister also berated officials for the lack of cleanliness at the ISBT. Watching the minister lifting trash, the officials in attendance also followed suit and began removing the trash from the ISBT.
He said public places such as bus stops and the interiors of buses should be clean like his own home and warned officials that such neglect would not be tolerated in the future.
He interacted with the passengers of the ISBT and those of the buses. He said up to 842 new buses will be added to the government bus fleet to provide better facilities for state passengers. He said a tender worth Rs22 crore would be issued soon to improve the condition of the workshops.
Tackling SAD President Sukhbir Singh Badal, he said during his rule, state-run buses have been ignored and private transport companies have been given carte blanche.
On the extension of the BSF’s competence to Punjab borders, he claimed that the secret alliance between SAD and BJP was intact. To substantiate this, he pointed out that former Union Minister Harsimrat Kaur Badal continues to occupy the assigned Delhi house and the NSG security blanket.
